Our story, from fabric shop to cocktail bar.
We opened in 2021 in a former Victorian fabric shop on Great Junction Street. The name came from the bolts of velvet we found in the basement — a sign, we thought, of what the room was meant to become. Our vision was simple: a neighbourhood bar that treats cocktails as seriously as a kitchen treats food. No gimmicks, no noise — just careful drinks, honest plates, and music that fits the hour.
